Christmas is a special time to share the blessings we have received. For some families, however, Christmas is a time when already thin resources may get stretched beyond their limits. High heating costs coupled with extra financial expectations can cause added stress at a time that should be filled with peace and joy!

Heart and Hand offers services to help lighten the load at Christmas. Our annual Christmas Toy Store, for example, provides an inexpensive shopping opportunity for low-income families. The Toy Store reaches over 300 children and allows the parents, grandparents, and guardians to pick out and purchase gifts for their children, stretching their budgets while filling their desire to provide for their family.

In addition other programs provide food, as well as new hats, gloves, and school supplies to children during the Christmas season.
