Garden Market
The Community
Garden Market provides an opportunity for gardeners to earn money by selling their surplus fruits and vegetables. The market is the only place in the county for senior citizens to purchase produce with coupons designed to encourage better nutrition.
The Garden Market has grown steadily since it was started in 1992. A new facility built by volunteers from Christ UMC in 2003 improved the market dramatically. The Market sold over $16,000 in produce during the 2008 season and had more than 77 local participating growers.
