A layette contains items needed to help new moms better care for their infants. The layette consists of all new items valued at about $125.00. Layettes include: blankets, sleepers, onesies, lotion, powder, shampoo, baby wash, diapers, bibs, sweater set, crib sheet, towel and wash cloth, and a children’s Bible.

In 2008 we had the pleasure of distributing layettes to the mothers of 47 new babies. Heart and Hand partners with the county Health Department to identify low-income mothers who are eligible for the free supplies.
